Jerry Dyer has surprisingly done a good job of being open minded enough, despite his roots in conservatism. I remember being annoyed at him when he refused to allow a rainbow flag to fly at the City Council, only for him to later change his minds when LGBTQ+ (including allies) people spoke up. Now he faces another challenge: unity between Israellis and Palestinians in the face of the Israel-Hamas war.
