by As local food pantries are preparing for a record number of families needing assistance this month. Our office will be collecting shelf-stable food, toiletries, and cleaning supplies to help those impacted by cuts to SNAP benefit, ongoing federal layoffs, and the rising cost of groceries.
Our office located at 1033 U St, will be open to receive donations Monday–Friday, 10 AM–2 PM, from November 3 through November 20.
All collected items will be delivered to the Big Red Church’s community pantry for their monthly giveaway — ensuring your generosity goes directly to local families who need it most.
Because we’re Democrats, we show up. We take care of our neighbors. We help people.
