I discovered a brand of wines whilst exploring a portion of the Blossom Trails in Fresno/Clovis, right at Simonian Farms. The name? Blossom Trail, which definitely prompted me to buy a few bottles and give them a try. I’ve already tried out their Rose and wasn’t too impressed; it’s just a dry Rose like most with a bit of an odd aftertaste. But the Plum Wine was quite unique. Owing to the plums from which it is made, it is quite tart and sour, with a bit of sweet to balance things out. Not sure what a sour wine pairs well with, but pasta almost always goes with wine anyway. Gibson Winery produces the Blossom Trail brand of wines.
