We’re only in our first week of June and there’s already triple digit weather. The only real relief for many is to have a place with air conditioning, which can also be quite expensive to run. Thankfully, there are designated cooling centers to utilize, especially in Fresno. These cooling centers tend to be libraries, and may have longer hours of operation and free transportation. Better than noisy places like Starbucks or Walmart, and at least you’ll likely have seating and an outlet to power your devices. The list comes from ABC30; the link to all of the locations will be down below.

CITY OF FRESNO

Cooling Centers will be open to the public during daytime extreme heat temperatures. The centers will open at 12:00 pm and close at 8:00 pm on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. People can catch a free ride on any FAX bus, Just tell the driver that you would like to go to the nearest Cooling Center.
