Trumpite Connie Conway will be sitting on the seat left vacant by Trumpite Devin Nunes. As disappointing as this is, unfortunately this wasn’t too much of a surprise when you look at the results for the primary election, as the votes for Republicans in total exceeded 50% while votes for Dems (Hubbard and Garcia) simply feel short. In addition, Conway’s amount of votes also exceeded the combined amount of votes for the two Democrats. Nevertheless, her place on this seat will expire on Jan 3, 2023.
At the same time, the results are also out for the Primary Election for the redrawn District 22, with a Democrat, Rudy Salas, taking a substantial lead, and already advancing to the general election that will take place on November 8, 2022. The redrawn D22 has been expected to seat a Democrat anyways.
