The D22 Primary Election took place two days ago on April 5, and as of now, 69% of the votes have been counted. In the lead is an ex-Trump appointee (sounds like Devin Nunes already), Conway, with 34.8% of the vote. In second place is Hubbard, with 19.7% of the vote. At this point, Conway has advanced to the General Election, while Hubbard’s position as the second runner-up has yet to be determined, as he isn’t too far ahead of those behind him.

It could take until April 12 for the rest of the votes to be counted, as the remainder is mostly mail-in ballots (which tend to be mostly Democrat voters). Unless a candidate somehow obtains more than 50% of the vote in the primary (which mathematically isn’t there), the general election will take place June 7th.
