Beautify Fresno is Mayor Dyer’s initiative to improve the City of Fresno’s “curb appeal” through the coordinated delivery of existing City resources to eliminate trash, graffiti, and blight, and by creating community-based cleanup and beautification projects. The Mayor’s vision was to create a new department with a singular focus – a sustainable, city-wide effort to clean Fresno’s neighborhoods, streets, and highways by partnering with local organizations, non-profits, churches, and service organizations, and individuals in the community to beautify, recycle, educate, and empower residents to make Fresno a cleaner, greener, more beautiful place to live, work and play.

This movement has provided numerous opportunities for individuals and groups to join Mayor Dyer in cleanup and beautification events throughout the City of Fresno since its inception in January 2021. Since that time, Beautify Fresno has held over 50 events, including major projects like the National Day of Service, the Great American Cleanup, and the Mayor’s Citywide Community CleanUP Day, where over 4,500 volunteers have picked up almost 48,000 pounds of trash, removed over 10,000 square feet of graffiti and planted over 300 trees in our community.

Beautify Fresno is also a proud affiliate of Keep America Beautiful (KAB), the nation’s iconic nonprofit community improvement organization.
