The Central Valley has never had a Latino in Congress

The Central Valley, which is at minimum 54% Latino (Fresno) , and up to 65% (Tulare), has never seen a Latino representative in Congress. As you’ve said probably heard by now, the redistricting of California will shift more power to Latinos from Asian and white demographics. This is largely why Devin Nunes is leaving (yay!). A Latino congress person could be expected in the next 5-10 years.
